Sterling Crane has an Incident Prevention Committee formed in 1987.

This committee includes:

  Term
President of Sterling Crane Permanent
Directors, HS&E Permanent
One Vice President One Year
One Branch Manager One Year
One Crane & Rigging Supervisor One Year
One Mechanic Two to Three Years
One Operator from Each Region Two to Three Years

The objective of this committee is to oversee Sterling Crane’s Safety Program and ensure, with employee input, that current policies are effective and that new policies, when required, are developed and reviewed before they become part of this Policy Manual.

The committee meets quarterly and reviews all incidents and near misses which have occurred since the last meeting. The committee also reviews corrective actions and preventative measures that were taken as a result of all incidents.

Minutes of each meeting are kept on file in Central Office and forwarded to all branches for discussion at Monthly Branch Safety Meetings.
